“Weep in Silence.”

Agonized, I clench my teeth
Bite my tongue, and keep me quiet.
For I can not shed a single tear.
As I took the burden of silence.

Tired, she sleeps alone.
She’s been here so long
And she’s come to hate the cold.
It leaves her numb, unfeeling at best.
A heart made of gold
Filled with love and unrest.
She stares at the night.
Hoping it’ll change.
Chase away thoughts of fright.
But tonight, again, alone, she sleeps.
With a heart, that’s grown cold, unfeeling at best.
Silently, she weeps, from the pain in her chest.

Maybe if we pool our despair together, it won't seem so bad.
