“Stories.”

They want a story?
I guess I’ll give them just that.

Another line, another page, another book.
Words could never measure just how long it took.
Take another step, just one more
Till we reach the end, brace the finish, till we score.
Sleepless nights, and hopeless hours
Filled with empty thoughts, and sweets turned sour.
Days spent flat upon the ground.
Watch the world passing by, without a sound.
And still, we get back up, we move, we run.
Just to let them know
Our story’s just begun.

Maybe if we pool our despair together, it won't seem so bad.
